Should it be the experiment-wise error or the compound-wise error? In this paper, the multiplicity issues in two cases of PoC studies are used as examples to discuss the concept of different types of error and the level of the error rate control. With a clear understanding of the type of error and error rate control, the debate of applications of the multiplicity adjustment procedures in the PoC studies can be reconciled.This paper aims to describe how healthcare providers perceived spirituality and spiritual care while caring for dying patients and their families in a hospice setting in Karachi, Pakistan. Using a qualitative interpretive description design, individual in-depth interviews were conducted among healthcare providers. Thematic analysis approach was used for data analysis. Spirituality and spiritual care were perceived as shared human connections, relating to each other, acts of compassion, showing mutual respect while maintaining dignity in care and empowering patients and families. Microbial strains identified up to the species level revealed 236 distinct species/ribotypes out of 298 bacterial strains. Of 298 ascidian-associated bacteria, 72 isolates belong to the class Gammaproteobacteria and the genus Endozoicomonas. The results from this investigation will contribute a broaden knowledge of microbial diversity associated to marine ascidians, and as a promising source for the discovery of new natural products.Seventy-five samples of selected meat products, including luncheon, beef burger, sausage, basterma, and kofta, were collected from Alexandria and New Borg El-Arab cities (Egypt). The samples were subjected to mycological examination as well as for detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and ochratoxin A (OTA) residues. Besides, the study evaluated the effect of aqueous leaf extracts from mealycup sage (Salvia farinacea) and neem (Azadirachta indica), individually and in combination, on the growth of human pathogens Aspergillus parasiticus and Aspergillus flavus producing AFB1, as well as Aspergillus ochraceus and Aspergillus niger which produce OTA. Previous research studies have recognized facial expressions mainly based on 2D image processing requiring sensitive feature engineering and conventional machine learning approaches. The purpose of the present study was to recognize facial expressions by applying a new class of deep learning called geometric deep learning directly on 3D point cloud data. Two databases (Bosphorus and SIAT-3DFE) were used. The Bosphorus database includes sixty-five subjects with seven basic expressions (i.e., anger, disgust, fearness, happiness, sadness, surprise, and neutral). The SIAT-3DFE database has 150 subjects and 4 basic facial expressions (neutral, happiness, sadness, and surprise). First, preprocessing procedures such as face center cropping, data augmentation, and point cloud denoising were applied on 3D face scans. Then, a geometric deep learning model called PointNet++ was applied. A hyperparameter tuning process was performed to find the optimal model parameters.
