Unlike many first-person shooters, which only require you to kill all enemies in a certain amount of time, Counter Strike focuses on multiple objectives. It's a tactical game that combines fast-paced action with precise strategy and is easy to pick up but hard to master. It's among the most popular esports played in the world and tournaments draw massive crowds. The prize pools are among the top five.
The first Counter-Strike was an alteration to Half-Life and its success resulted in a variety of spin-offs. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the latest installment and is a direct sequel to Half-Life. It is updated regularly that include new weapons, map modifications as well as other improvements to the gameplay. It's available on Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX and Linux.
Nexon Corporation, in collaboration with Valve has created an adaptation of Counter-Strike CS Online for the Asian market. The version that was released in 2014, includes a variety of online game modes that are modified versions of classic CS games or brand-new. It also features a "donation model" where players can purchase weapons that are better to their free counterparts.
CS Online has a number of game modes. One of it is team deathmatch, where terrorists and anti-terrorists compete to eliminate as many enemies as possible in the shortest amount of time. Gun Deathmatch is another mode, where players start off with powerful weapons but are given less powerful weapons after a certain amount of deaths. In another mode, VIP Assassination, the terrorists will be matched against a single opponent, whom they must eliminate.
Other modes include Bomb Defuse where the special forces defuse the explosive before the terrorists set it up, and Hostage Rescue where the CTs have to rescue all the hostages within the stipulated time. Counter-Strike's unique game mechanics make it different from other multiplayer games and help to make it a highly engaging and addictive game. The game also implements many features that are now commonplace in modern multiplayer games: realistic recoil patterns used for guns, a payment system and many more.
Weapons
CS Online has all the classic Counter-Strike weapons, as well as some brand new ones. Players can buy weapons with earned points or real money that expire after a set amount of time but may be permanent during a promotion. Upgrades are available for the weapon. Weapons are classified into pistols, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and sub-machine guns.
Pistols are one of the cheapest weapons in the game and can kill an enemy with just a single shot. Pistols need a sharp aim to be effective, but with time they can turn deadly. SMGs are the next-cheapest guns and have more firepower than pistols. They are more precise than most rifles, but their accuracy decreases as the shooter fires more rounds. SMGs can be very effective in combat if they are used correctly.
Sniper weapons can be expensive, but they can also be extremely effective in a variety situations. They can be used to take down an opponent from afar, but they can also be effective in close combat. Sniper rifles are harder to use and require patience. The player must crouch, aim, and then shoot.
The AK-47 is the most adored assault rifle in CS the GO. It is inexpensive and powerful, as well as accurate when fired in short bursts. It is the primary weapon for terrorists as well as counter-terrorists in the game. The SG-552 or Krieg as it is referred to by many players, is an excellent weapon for assault terrorists. It holds angles very well and is a beast in post-plant situations. The MR556 also known as Redemption is a brand new sniper rifle that is a favorite of the counter-terrorists. It is more accurate and comes with the capacity of the magazine is larger.
The AWP is available for purchase by terrorists. It is inaccurate if shot fully automatically, but it is extremely effective when used in a restricted area. The AWM is a rifle chambered for 7.62 NATO and comes with 10 rounds of ammunition. Terrorists can also buy the ER-15 sniper rifle. It comes with a longer magazine, and is purchased with a suppressor.
