Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or an additional effect when the equipment is being used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchased from vendors or at the trading post, or looted or received as a reward. Some upgrades can have additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are classified into two categories - universal and type-restricted. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones, are able to be placed in any kind of equipment, whereas types-restricted upgrades, like inscribed items, need to be placed in certain types of items to get their benefits.
Most upgrade components can be salvaged from the equipment they're currently mounted in, however certain components can only be salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Ascended armor and legendary gear might contain upgrade components that can only be retrieved with an Black or Ascended Salvage Kit. Upgrades that are slotted into an item can't be replaced with other upgrades of the same kind, except for glyphs which can be swapped freely in and out of gathering tools.
Glyphs can be substituted with glyphs that are of the same kind, and an upgraded item will show the name of both its original upgrade and the upgraded version in its hover text. item upgrades are able to add their own name to the item they alter, and can be viewed by right clicking on the upgraded weapon or piece of gear.
Glyphs
Glyphs are symbols in a font that can be activated to offer additional text features. They may be based on icons, or other symbols that are visually connected to the concept. However they also can represent abstract concepts. Glyphs are defined by Unicode which assigns a specific code for each symbol and allows them to be referenced in various fonts. Certain glyphs are available in multiple forms, like swashes or small caps. Some have only one form, for example, the capital letter A. The Glyphs panel comes with a search box that lets you filter by the name of the character, its CID or GID, or its Unicode value. You can also use the context menu of an glyph to create a new character or alter the glyph.
The context menu in the Glyphs Panel allows you to select a font that will be used for glyphs within a set. You can also opt to keep a font in mind with an additional glyph. If a glyph has more than one font associated with it the Glyphs panel will display the fonts available in pink.
The glyph metrics of a font can affect the layout of text. A glyph, for example, may have an area which is the length it takes to get to the end of the font. The glyph may also have side bearings which are white spaces on the left and right sides of the font. These side bearings are sometimes known as kerning and affect how the glyph will be displayed in the document.
Glyphs can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar, which is located inside the Nightmare Dungeons. Each Nightmare Dungeon has a specific amount of time to be completed, following which the Glyph Upgrade altar will be revealed. The Glyph Upgrade altar enables players to use their Glyph XP earned from running the dungeon. It will also boost all the Paragon Board nodes within its radius.
The hero can add the stat bonuses for each glyph to increase his total. These bonuses can help you decide which glyphs you want to upgrade and which ones to place on the Paragon Board.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens permit players to roll any item's stats. They can be used to upgrade existing items, or reroll into new ones. Reroll tokens can be purchased through tickets to events, or can be purchased in the in-game shop. In order to use the reroll token players must first choose an item in their inventory and then click on the item's Reroll button. The number of rerolls that an item can get is determined by its rarity and the level.
The game gives players additional ways to alter the stats of their characters, besides the possibility of rerolling tokens. For instance players can earn XP by completing special events and dungeons. This XP is then spent on unlocking reroll tokens, increasing the chance of rerolling an item. Furthermore players can earn gift cards through fun games on Playbite. These gift cards are very useful in rerolling stats and powers, and give players another chance of getting better results in dungeons and trials.
Survivors can also earn reroll tokens taking part in specific events. For instance, they can earn one token for each case file they finish. Players can also earn reroll tokens if they join a friend's lobby. The tokens can be found in the bottom left corner on their noticeboard. You can also roll an entire case by pressing the dice icon located right next to it.
The game's token reroll system isn't a good idea. It is a waste of time and money for players. It is time to replace it with an option that is completely free and does not require any form of payment. It would be easier for the game to retain players by providing them with the chance to reroll for free and making it easier for them to modify their builds.
Reroll tokens are redeemable for various items in the Token Shop. These include rerolls, skill tree resets, and more. You should however be aware of how to redeem the tokens correctly. This article will show you how to do it, and provide some suggestions to help you maximize the value of your tokens for rerolling.
