World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. item upgrades boost extra bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.
You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When an individual player improves a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced with a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't require it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can waste lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits water. This item can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an item it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state and the player having to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will need to bring every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
