Retrospective cohort study of parturients diagnosed with COVID-19 between 26 March and 30 September 2020. Maternal and neonatal outcomes were assessed by comparing three groups of parturients COVID-19 negative, asymptomatic COVID-19, and symptomatic COVID-19.

In conclusion, it is recommended that in ovo injection of Cu (16 μg/egg) can improve the growth performance (Cu sulfate and nano-Cu) and the small intestine histomorphometry parameters (Cu sulfate and Cu acetate) of broiler chicks.

To investigate the hepatoprotective activity and mechanism of
flower ethanol extract (BZE) on APAP-induced rats based on network pharmacology.
Potential pathways of BZE were predicted by network pharmacology. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were pre-treated with BZE (110, 220 and 440 mg/kg, i.g.) for eightdays, and then APAP (800 mg/kg, i.g.) was used to induce liver injury. After 24 h, serum and liver were collected for biochemical detection and western blot measurement.
Network pharmacology indicated that liver-protective effect of BZE was associated with its antioxidant and anti-apoptotic efficacy. APAP-induced liver pathological change was alleviated, and elevated serum AST and ALT were reduced by BZE (440 mg/kg) (from 66.45 to 22.64 U/L and from 59.59 to 17.49 U/L, respectively). BZE (440 mg/kg) reduced the ROS to 65.50%, and upregulated SOD and GSH by 212.92% and 175.38%, respectively. In addition, BZE (440 mg/kg) increased levels of p-AMPK, p-GSK3β, HO-1 and NQO1, ranging from 1.66- to 10.29-fold compared to APAP group, and promoted nuclear translocation of Nrf2. link3 BZE also inhibited apoptosis induced by APAP through the PI3K-Akt pathway and restored the ability of mitochondrial biogenesis.

The present study evaluated the antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory, and hypoglycemic potential of T. subulata flower extract (EtFloTsu) in zebrafish (Danio rerio). The total phenol and flavonoid contents of EtFloTsu were determined and identified using the Folin Ciocalteu reagent and aluminum chloride (AlCl3), respectively. The constituents of the extract were identified by HPLC-DAD, and the in vitro antioxidant activity (DPPH) was determined, toxicity in brine shrimp, and acute toxicity of 96 h in adult zebrafish. In addition, adult zebrafish (n = 6/fish) were treated orally with EtFloTsu (4, 20, or 40 mg/kg; vo) and subjected to formalin-induced nociception tests (with its possible mechanism of action with camphor), carrageenan-induced inflammation, and D-glucose-induced hyperglycemia (111 mM). Oxidative stress in the liver and brain tissues was assessed. EtFloTsu showed high levels of phenolic and flavonoid compounds with antioxidant activity. The phytochemicals chlorogenic acid, luteolin-7-o-glucoside, vitexin, and apigenin-7-o-glucoside were also identified in EtFloTsu. The synergism between these constituents was possibly responsible for the antinociceptive (via TRPA1), anti-inflammatory, and hypoglycemic effects of EtFloTsu in adult zebrafish, without causing toxicity in animals. The development of sequencing of nucleic acids and protein detection techniques have prompted the demonstration that TRDMT1 mediated tRNA modification affects protein synthesis efficiency. This process affects the growth and development of animals. The DNA of 224 Qinchuan cattles aged 2-4 years old was collected in this experiment. The genetic variations of TRDMT1 exon and some intron regions were detected by mixed pool sequencing technology. qRT-PCR and Western Blot were used to detect the expression levels of mRNA and protein produced with the combination of different genetic variant loci. Three haplotypes were detected and the distribution ratios were different. Muscle tissue mRNA and protein testing showed that there were differences in mRNA expression levels among different genotypes (P  less then  0.05) and the protein expression levels between different genotypes show the same trend as mRNA. This study provides potential molecular materials for the improvement of Qinchuan cattle reproductivity and provides theoretical support for studying the effects of livestock TRDMT1 on animal growth and development.Biosurfactant production by Pseudomonas guguanensis D30 was reported using mineral oil in submerged condition. Twelve medium components were tested at two levels by Plackett-Burman design, among them, mineral oil, yeast extract, peptone, MgSO4, and CaCl2 found significant on the basis of emulsification index. These five significant components were further optimized through central composite design (CCD). The experimental design was successfully used for regression analysis and the significant model suggested the solution of 10% (v/v) mineral oil, 3.0 g/L (w/v) yeast extract and 0.2 g/L (w/v) peptone for 13.14 g/L predicted biosurfactant production. We kept the suggested concentrations of medium components and got 13.34 ± 0.08 g/L biosurfactant production, which is almost double the conventional one-factor-at-a-time production (7.126 ± 0.12 g/L). It reduced the surface tension of the medium up to 28 ± 1.2 mN/m. We found ethyl acetate a suitable solvent for biosurfactant extraction amongst methanol, chloroform, and methanolchloroform. The partially purified biosurfactant was chemically characterized as lipopeptide by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).
Idea density has been shown to influence comprehension time for text in various populations. This study aims to explore the influence of spoken idea density on attainment in young, healthy subjects using demographic characteristics.
Students watched two online lectures and answered 10 multiple choice questions on them. Students received one more idea dense (MID) and one less idea dense (LID) lecture on two different subjects.
Seventy-five students completed the study achieving a higher median score after a less idea-dense lecture (LID = 7(3), MID = 6(3),
 = 0.04). Artificial neural network models revealed the first language as the main predictor of exam performance. The odds ratio (OR) of obtaining ≥70% after a more idea-dense lecture was six-time higher for the first language versus second language English speakers (OR = 5.963, 95% CI 1.080-32.911,
 = 0.041). The odds ratio was not significant when receiving a less dense lecture (OR = 2.298, 95% CI 0.635-8.315,
 = 0.205). Second-language speakers benefited from receiving a lower idea density, achieving a 10.8% score increase from high to low density, versus a 3.2% increase obtained by first language speakers.
