This study was derived to investigation of BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes) concentrations in printing and copying centers (PCCs) in Ardabil city of Iran. Fifty-three PCCs were randomly selected from all the 136 number of PCCs and BTEX was sampled form their indoor air. this website The results showed that the concentration of BTEX in the indoor air PCCs is lower than the OELs (occupational exposure limit) in all cases. The obtained mean concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene were 93.6±63.2, 150.6±99.2, 34.3±16.8, and 29.5±15.2 μg/m3 respectively. Type of printer, number of printing and copying device, and type of ventilation system had significant influence on the BTEX concentration. The mean inhalation lifetime cancer risk (LTCR) value for benzene and ethylbenzene in the indoor air of the PCCs with LaserJet and inkjet printers was 44.4 × 10-6 and 153.3 × 10-6, and 23.4×10-6 and 54.2× 10-6, respectively, which were higher than EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and World Health Organization (WHO) recommended limits. The hazard quotient (HQ) of benzene in the indoor air of the PCCs with inkjet printers was >1, which indicates that the non-carcinogenic risks associated with exposure to these compounds are considerable.Ectomycorrhizal (EcM) tree species often become more dominant than arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) tree species in temperate forests, but they generally coexist. Theory predicts that ecological feedback mediated by aboveground herbivory and/or belowground microbes could explain these dominance/coexistence patterns. An experimental test of how aboveground/belowground organisms associated with AM/EcM trees mediate ecological feedbacks has been lacking at the community-level. By establishing AM and EcM tree sapling assemblages in mesocosms and then introducing seedlings of each type in a reciprocal planting experiment, we compared seedling performance under varying sapling species (conspecifics, heterospecifics within the same and different mycorrhizal types), using traits that reflect either aboveground herbivory-mediated feedback or belowground fungal-mediated feedback or both. When examining seedling traits that reflect aboveground herbivory-mediated feedbacks (i.e., foliar damage), AM plants tended to experience tree diversity.Mobile health (mHealth) and eHealth interventions have demonstrated potential to improve cancer care delivery and disease management by increasing access to health information and health management skills. However, there is a need to better understand the overall impact of these interventions in improving cancer care and to identify best practices to support intervention adoption. Overall, this review intended to systematically catalogue the recent body of cancer-based mHealth and eHealth education and training interventions and assess the effectiveness of these interventions in increasing health care professionals' knowledge, confidence, and behaviors related to the delivery of care along the cancer continuum. Our initial search yielded 135 articles, and our full review included 23 articles. We abstracted descriptive data for each of the 23 studies, including an overview of interventions (i.e., intended intervention recipients, location of delivery, topic of focus), study methods (i.e., design, sampling approach, sample size), and outcome measures. Almost all the studies reported knowledge gain as an outcome of the education interventions, whereas only half assessed provider confidence or behavior change. We conclude that there is some evidence that mHealth and eHealth interventions lead to improvements in cancer care delivery, but this is not a consistent finding across the studies reviewed. Our findings also identify gaps that should be addressed in future research, offer guidance on the utility of mHealth and eHealth interventions, and provide a roadmap for addressing these gaps.Gelsolin, an actin-binding protein, is localized intra- and extracellularly in the bloodstream and throughout the body. Gelsolin amyloidosis is a disease characterized by several point mutations that lead to cleavage and fibrillization of gelsolin. The D187 mutation to N or Y leads to aggregation of peptide fragments with shortest aggregating peptide identified as 182SFNNGDCFILD192. Recently, G167 has also been identified as relevant gelsolin mutation, which leads to gelsolin deposits in kidneys, but its aggregation is much less understood. Hence, we systematically investigated in vitro the aggregation propensities of the following gelsolin peptides 167GRRVV171 (1), 161RLFQVKG167 (2), 184NNGDCFILDL193 (3), 188CFILDL193 (4), 187DCFILDL193 (5), and their respective mutants (G167K, G167R, N184K, D187Y, D187N), by using spectroscopic methods [fluorescence Proteostat, Thioflavin T (ThT), turbidity assay, and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)], and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). The (non) mutant peptides containing CFILDL sequence aggregated into fibrillar networks, while G167R mutation promoted aggregation compared to the wild-type sequence. In the presence of inhibitors, Methylene Blue (MB) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the gelsolin peptide (3-5) aggregation was reduced with the IC50 values in the 2-13 µM range. We discovered that inhibitors have dual functionality, as aggregation inhibitors and disaggregation promoters, potentially allowing for the prevention and reversal of gelsolin amyloidosis.
