The total efficiency of the three stages of production input, wastewater treatment, and health output in the eastern region are higher than that of the central region and the western region. From the perspective of stage efficiency, most of the 30 provinces exhibit production efficiency less then health efficiency less then wastewater treatment efficiency. For the three-phase input and output indicators, the efficiency values and development trends of different provinces vary. The efficiencies of input variables in the wastewater treatment stage and health stage are low in most provinces. This means that the provinces should implement accurate policies according to their own evaluation results and improve the relevance and coordination among the three stages through reasonable allocation of medical input and arrangement of urban employment.Several synthetic pyrethroids are suspected to have carcinogenicity or reproductive toxicity. However, there is little knowledge about indoor air pollution in residences or the extent of intake by the residents of the newly developed pyrethroids, transfluthrin, profluthrin, and metofluthrin, although they have been widely used indoors as mosquito repellents and mothproof repellents in recent years. In the present study, the household exposure to pyrethroids through all exposure pathways and the contribution of inhalation pathway in Japanese children were examined by measuring urinary pyrethroid metabolites in the children and the airborne pyrethroids in their residences. Urine excreted first after waking up was collected from subjects aged 6 to 15 years (n = 132), and airborne pyrethroids were sampled in the subjects' bedrooms for 24 h. Nineteen pyrethroids and their nine urinary metabolites were measured. Their daily intakes estimated were as follows (median, ng/kg b.w./d) bifenthrin, 56; transfluthrin, 22; metofluthrin, 11; profluthrin, 0.86. The contribution rates of the amounts absorbed by inhalation to the amounts absorbed via all of the exposure pathways while at home tended to decrease in the following order profluthrin (median 15%) ≈ transfluthrin (14%) > metofluthrin (1%) > bifenthrin (0.1%). Transfluthrin was considered to be the most notable pyrethroid as an indoor air pollutant. Our study demonstrated widespread exposure to transfluthrin, metofluthrin, profluthrin, and bifenthrin in a sample of Japanese children. The magnetic nanocomposites composed of copper sulphide, iron oxide, and graphene oxide (CuS/Fe3O4/GO) were synthesized through a facile sol-gel combined with hydrothermal techniques for photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) as a model organic pollutant. The as-prepared samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), differential reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and results confirmed successful synthesis of magnetic nanocomposite. 4-Methylumbelliferone order Presence of Fe3O4 and GO in nanocomposite induced a synergistic effect in CuS performance as CS88F6G6 (i.e. 88% CuS, 6% Fe3O4, and 6% GO). The photocatalytic degradation efficiency of MB reached up to 90.3% after exposure to visible light irradiation for 80 min. The composite nanosheets are photostable, reusable, and magnetically recoverable, revealing potential application in removal of organic pollutants.Rhizosphere microbes are crucial to seagrass meadows because they promote plant growth and heath. However, information concerning the response of rhizosphere microorganisms in seagrass sediment in the presence of different nitrogen sources is lacking. Here, by means of high-throughput sequencing, we investigated how addition of inorganic nitrogen affects the rhizosphere microbiome of the tropical seagrass Thalassia hemperichii. A seagrass culture system was set up to conduct a nitrogen addition (ammonium and nitrate) simulation experiment. We found that the relative abundance of Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes was increased in inorganic nitrogen-enriched samples, whereas that of Acidobacteria decreased under ammonium enrichment, especially after 35 days. High levels of inorganic nitrogen addition caused a significant decrease in the relative abundance of Desulfobacteraceae, Sulfurovaceae, and Spirochaetes, which are primarily involved in sulfur cycling. Additionally, the abundance of microbes in the seagrass rhizosphere reached the highest after the ammonium-enrichment treatment. Among the analyzed seagrass photosynthetic characteristics, seagrass leaves presented the highest light utility in treatments receiving nitrate, followed by the control groups and ammonium-enrichment groups. Moreover, 16S rRNA gene-predicted functional analysis suggested that some functions related to metabolism of amino acids and signal transduction were enriched in samples receiving high ammonium, whereas nitrate addition enriched predicted functions related to diseases. These findings provide new insights into the response of microbial communities to different types of nitrogen additions in seagrass ecosystems.Illicit drug use has long been a key issue of international concern, and the true situation is unknown to the relevant authorities. To develop a profile of comprehensive consumption patterns of illicit drugs in China, data from 34 wastewater treatment plants in 25 cities were collected to analyze four classes of drugs, including amphetamine-type stimulants, opioids, ketamine, and cocaine. They were identified and quantified in samples using methods based on gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. According to the wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) approach, an analysis of the consumption pattern was performed regarding per inhabitant consumption based on the revised metabolic rate. The consumption quantity of illicit drug and precursor was divided into four categories based on statistical difference analyses methamphetamine and ephedrine (precursor) were the predominant drugs in the first category, followed by ketamine and heroin in the second category, methcathinone and 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) in the third category, and cocaine and methadone in the fourth category.
