Women with ovarian cancer are reported to fatigue over time. Moderate to severe levels of cancer-related fatigue is fluent in Han Chinese patients with cancer. Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines are recommending exercise and cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce cancer-related fatigue. Exercise is an easy, cost-effective, and non-pharmacological approach. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of nurse-led exercise and cognitive-behavioral care against nurse-led usual care in Han Chinese women of ovarian cancer regarding cancer-related fatigue, depressive symptoms, and sleep quality.Han Chinese women with moderate to severe levels of cancer-related fatigue have received 30 minutes, 5 times/week nurse-led exercise and 60 min/week cognitive-behavioral care (EC cohort, n = 118) or nurse-led usual care regarding educations and recommendations only (UC cohort, n = 126) or have not received nurse-led exercise, cognitive-behavioral care, educations, and recommendations (NC cohort, n = 1 women with ovarian cancer to decrease cancer-related fatigue and depression. Also, it can improve the quality of sleep.Evidence Level 4.Technical Efficacy Stage 5.

Previous studies comparing the published literature on drug-eluting stents (DES) and drug-coated balloon (DCB) have drawn divergent conclusions, as these studies are limited by small sample sizes. To overcome these limitations, we thus conducted a high-quality systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of DCB versus DES for patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). It was hypothesized that DCB use at the AMI is associated with decreased risk of cardiovascular disease and death.
The electronic databases Embase, Medline, PubMed, and Cinahl were searched from the earliest available date until August 2021. Study included in our study had to meet all of the following inclusion criteria all randomized controlled trials to assess the efficacy and safety of DES versus DCB in the treatment of AMI were considered eligible for analysis; participants received DCB or DES; reporting the available data on cardiac death, all-cause death, myocardial infarction, target lesion revascularization, target vessel revascularization, major adverse cardiac events, and stent thrombosis. Review Manager Software (v 5.3; Cochrane Collaboration) was used for the meta-analysis. Two of us independently assessed the risk of bias in the included studies using parameters defined in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions criteria.
It was hypothesized that DCB use at the AMI is associated with decreased risk of cardiovascular disease and death.

Elbow dislocation is the second most frequent joint dislocation after shoulder dislocation. They have a high relevance because they can result in subsequent damage and limitations in range of motion. The treatment options are controversially discussed. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to review the literature and analyze the evidence of early functional rehabilitation.
A systematic literature search was performed via Ovid Medline, whereby 1645 publications were identified and evaluated in a stepwise approach. Of these publications 29 met the inclusion criteria of the authors and described simple elbow dislocations in 5765 patients.Data from the studies and subgroups included were initially categorized descriptively in conservative and surgical primary therapies, in immobilizing (immobilization lasting 2 weeks or longer) and free-functional follow-up treatments, and those data were then extracted from each subgroup in absolutes. We then pooled these numbers into descriptive statis immobilizing therapy with a duration more than 2 weeks.
Conservative therapy is the dominant therapy. Regardless of the primary therapy chosen in simple elbow dislocations early functional follow-up care seems to be superior to immobilizing therapy with a duration more than 2 weeks.
In addition to the maternal death indicator, Stork Network proposes the number of prenatal consultations, the gestational age of onset of prenatal care and the number of children breastfeeding. The study aims to analyze maternal health indicators representative of the actions proposed by Stork Network in Brazil, after its implementation. Therefore, this is an ecological study of maternal health indicators in Brazil from 2012 to 2017.Thus, it was found that the number of prenatal consultations per pregnant woman in Brazil from 2012 to 2017 increased >4 times between the first and the last year analyzed. The proportion of pregnant women who started prenatal care in the first trimester of pregnancy increased progressively each year in Brazil. The breastfeeding coefficient also increased progressively between 2014 and 2017 in Brazil. It was found that maternal health indicators improved between 2012 and 2017 in the Brazilian territory.

Cervical cancer continues to be a global public health concern and a leading cause of cancer deaths among Nepalese women. In spite of the availability of screening and treatment services in Nepal, the utilization of screening has been low. This study investigated knowledge, attitude, preventive practices and utilization of cervical cancer screening among women in a semi-urban area of Pokhara Metropolitan City of Nepal.
A community-based cross-sectional survey was carried out among 729 women 30-60 years of age, between April and June 2019. Participants were selected by systematic random sampling, and a door-to-door home visit was conducted for data collection. A pretested interviewer-administered Nepali questionnaire was used to collect information on sociodemographic variables, knowledge, attitude and preventive practices regarding cervical cancer screening.
The mean age of the participants was 45.9 years (SD ±7.7); the majority were married (86.7%). selleck kinase inhibitor Among the participants, 44.9% were ever screened for cervical cancer. However, only 10.4% of participants received timely repeated screening for cervical cancer. The median knowledge score achieved by participants was 2.0 [interquartile range (IQR) 1-4] on a scale of maximum score 36, the median attitude score was 31.0 (IQR 29-32) on a scale of 40 and the median preventive practice score was 3.0 (IQR 3-4) on a scale of five.
This study showed low knowledge and low utilization of cervical cancer screening among women in Nepal. We recommend a community-based educational intervention to educate and empower women to increase knowledge and utilization of cervical cancer screening.

It still remains conflicting whether IBD has influence on risk of breast cancer, requesting further investigations. A systematic literature research before June 2020 was conducted in PubMed and Web of Science databases. Observational studies reporting incident breast cancer after IBD diagnosis and providing measures of association were included in the meta-analysis. The pooled odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated to evaluate the associations between IBD and risk of breast cancer. Our analysis included 16 cohort studies and the overall pooled OR in patients with IBD was 0.94 (95% CI, 0.82-1.06). In further subgroup analysis, no significant association with breast cancer risk among patients with Crohn's disease (OR, 0.91; 95% CI, 0.70-1.12) and ulcerative colitis (OR, 0.99; 95% CI, 0.90-1.08). For geographic differences, the summary OR of populations in Asia (OR, 1.01; 95% CI, 0.73-1.30) was only numerically larger than that in European populations (OR, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.75-1.06). Our findings indicated that IBD had no significant influence on breast cancer risk regardless of different IBD types and geographical areas. The cancer chemopreventive potential of various solvent extracts from six medicinal plants was evaluated by their ability to activate the transcription factor Nrf2 using AREc32 cells, which contain a luciferase gene under the control of antioxidant responsive element promoters. Nrf2 regulates the expression of many detoxification enzymes, making it an ideal target for cancer prevention. The present research revealed Zanthoxylum zanthoxyloides extracts as promising sources of cancer chemopreventive compounds. Bioassay-guided isolation of the Z. Zanthoxyloides methanol extract resulted in the isolation of N-methylatanine, N-methylplatydesminecation, sesamin and skimmianine. Among these compounds, skimmianine was identified as the most active compound, causing a 2.8-fold increase in luciferase activity. Skimmianine and other related quinolone alkaloids could represent an appropriate starting scaffold for the development of new chemopreventive cancer drugs.FCGR2A, ORAI1 and CD40 are all involved in the immune and inflammatory responses in the human body, whereas its association with lung cancer is still unclear. This study aimed to investigate the effects of polymorphisms in these genes on the susceptibility to lung cancer. Six candidate single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were genotyped using a MassARRAY platform in a discovery cohort, including 400 lung cancer patients and 400 healthy controls, and validated in a replication cohort, including 529 lung cancer cases and 532 controls. Comparing the allele frequency distributions, we found that the rs1801274-G, rs511278-T and rs1883832-T were risk alleles for lung cancer (P T was correlated to a reduced risk of disease in recessive and log-additive models (P  less then  0.05). Finally, the association between the above SNPs and lung cancer risk was validated in a replication cohort (P  less then  0.05). These results shed new light on the association between immune-related genes and risk of lung cancer, and might be useful for the identification of high-risk individuals.
Colon ischemia is the most common form of intestinal ischemic injury and is seen frequently in an elderly population. This disease is usually self-limited, and many causes have been identified. The recent literature has focused on estimates of prognosis, triaging appropriate level of care, and identification of optimal treatments. In this review, we will address our current understanding of colon ischemia including epidemiology, pathophysiology, segmental distribution, presentation, diagnosis, and management.
Research has recently been focused on factors associated with poor outcome. The medical comorbidities identified include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hepatic cirrhosis, and chronic aspirin use. Serological markers are noninvasive tools that can triage severity. Recent studies have shown procalcitonin, C-reactive protein, D-dimer, and neutrophil counts can help predict those at greatest risk for poor outcome. The timing of colonoscopy relative to symptomatic onset also can help predict severity.
