The Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1, combines two of the most essential baby items: the strollers and infant car seats. It makes it easier to get on and off public transport (and walk up and down stairs).
Doona's infant car seat and stroller combo is a great option. It's the first integrated travel system that lets you to switch between the car seat and stroller in seconds without disturbing your sleepy baby.
Simple to use
Car seat and stroller combinations that are simple to use are essential for parents. These systems make it easy to switch between running errands or walking the dog, or taking a run. You can also adapt to the changing requirements of your child so that you can take your family on adventures. Our test subjects are awed by how smoothly and conveniently these travel systems glide regardless of whether they feature a single front wheel or a swiveling front wheel. The Thule Urban Glide 2 Combo and the BOB Alterrain Pro combo are especially maneuverable and even the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo can be pushed effortlessly with just one hand.
Some models are difficult to attach or remove from the base, but. The Doona Combo requires a two step attachment process, and straps which cover the bottom of the infant carrier. It's tempting to skip these steps however it could lead to dangerous outcomes.
Additionally some models are hard to fold away and store and store away, making them less convenient than others. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is hard to fold due to its huge dimensions and heavy frame. Some testers have also found the canopy on this model disappointing. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is easy to fold down with a push of a button and a pull of the lever. This model is a fantastic option for parents who wish to use their car seat in the other cars, since it can be easily detached from the base.
Easy to Fold
It doesn't matter if you're keeping the car seat on its own, in the trunk of your car or even in the closet, it should be simple to fold and unfold. The best combinations we've tested feature a simple one-handed fold that is compact and durable enough to be used for long walks. They're also simple to move, sliding effortlessly over bumps and uneven surfaces. We've seen some combinations that can only be joined or removed using straps, which can seem like an extra step and make it difficult for parents to ensure that the car seat is secured properly.
The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is a fantastic choice due to its robust construction and convenient features, including a large storage bin that is accessible from either the front or back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it simple to secure a car seat installation by connecting the lower anchors by pulling the straps tightly and clicking the carrier into the base.
It's also relatively lightweight and compact, making it an excellent choice for frequent travelers or families with multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo, and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored very well in our user-friendliness tests. Both come with a single wheel that is easy to push with one hand. Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also have a movable spinner wheel, ideal for shopping and running errands. The only issue is that they're quite heavy and are difficult to lift when carrying a child in a car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Some car seat and stroller combos can be tricky to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the simplest travel systems to assemble. It even comes with a handy guide. Other models, like the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also fairly easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, on the other hand, is difficult to assemble. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors and using straps to protect the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, so it requires two hands to click the carrier into the base, then detach it from the base.
In our tests it took us around 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together, which is relatively rapid when you consider the amount of time it can save by not having to take out the pieces. 2 in 1 pram can be slid into and removed easily on the majority of these models.
