Weather Stripping

Then slide the sash out to see if it resolves the problem. If not, the issue is likely to be with the balance of the sash and you'll need to remove the sash to access this hardware.
Window sashes should open and close with little effort. However, this could be difficult if weights are worn out or the sash connecting rail isn't covered with. This issue can be caused by a number of reasons, such as lack of maintenance or by a mismatched weight rating for the specific window sash.
